Nyungwe House Nyungwe forest Lodge . Formerly referred to as Nyungwe Forest Lodge, Nyungwe house is a super luxury accommodation facility located along the boundaries of Nyungwe forest in the South- western side of Rwanda.
Nyungwe House has 22 rooms are subdivided into villas and each villa has 4 rooms. More to these are 2 presidential suites and each of them is located in a private villa with a private Jacuzzi thus making it a really beautiful place worth spending your night. The one and only Nyungwe House is a very beautiful lodge suitable for the luxury and the international travelers as well as the honeymooners too. Nyungwe house rooms have modern facilities and are decorated with African traditional craft works. After a long day, you can spend some quality time at your private decks enjoying the view of the forest canopy.
What to see during your stay at Nyungwe House
Basing from the one and only Nyungwe house Nyungwe Forest Lodge, you can engage in all the activities done in Nyungwe park and also in around the park. Clients have a variety of activities to choose from during their stay. The main activities done in this park involve walking for long hours up to 7 hours with the guidance of the rangers and these include the most popular one like chimpanzee trekking, the nature walks which give you the chance to see the black and white colobus monkeys, there are the grey – cheeked mangabey. You can also visit the Kamiranzovu Swamps or have a walk at the Waterfalls.
The park is home to a number of birds and also wildlife to include mammals and other primates. It is important to recognize the fact that Nyungwe Forest Lodge is the best accommodation facility. Usually, the bookings are on full board basis therefore the meals are include on the prices set for the accommodation. Experienced chefs prepare the meals. Nyungwe Lodge has two common areas a dinning and lounge. The dinning area has an an outdoor deck and this is perfect for the sundowners. One can enjoy some coffee or tea as you watch the sun set. Apart from the restaurant you can opt to have your tea or coffee at your Balcony since all rooms have a balcony.
The restaurant offers a 4 course menu for lunch and dinners and an English breakfast. Bottled drinking water is free and provided in rooms. However other drinks come at an extra fee ranging between $6 to $200 for signature drinks. The number of nights to spend at Nyungwe house, depend on your activities and budget. Clients are welcome to stay as long as they wish.

The Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool and there you can go swimming especially during the warm hours. A massage room, fitness room , spa treatment room are some facilities that you should utilize during yoru stay. All rooms air conditioned, with a coffee/tea maker, a fire place and hair dryer. Nyungwe house prices are based on the room type and they range between USD 600 and 2,300 per night. The rooms are on high demand especially during the pea months of June , July, August and September.
